Wasatch Back Pro Agent Designation

 

Local Agent Designation

Purpose

This is a local REALTOR® Designation designed to distinguish Park City Board of REALTOR® members who choose to be recognized for their knowledge base and expertise on topics specific to Summit and Wasatch Counties. This provides the general public the added assurance that their real estate agent of choice has obtained the education and experience necessary to best serve their needs.

 

Criteria

  1. Agent must be a member in Good Standing of the Park City Board of REALTORS® for a minimum of 3 years.
  2. Agent is required to have a minimum of 6 closed transactions in Summit or Wasatch Counties withinthe last 3 years.
  3. Agent must complete ALL 17 required class credits listed below, and 11 elective credits, totaling a minimum of 28 total credits. (Elective options may be selected from the options below.)
  4. Agent will be allowed to apply previous 2 year class attendance upon application submission.
  5. Agent will submit application to the PCBR with necessary documentation.

 

Complete ALL Required Classes listed below (totaling 17 credits).

  1. Local Informational Websites & Resources (3 credits)
  2. Real Estate Water Law Essentials (3 credits)
  3. Working with Wasatch Back Property Managers (2 credits)
  4. Financing Resort Real Estate (3 credits)
  5. PCBR Approved Forms Update Class (1 credit / several options)
  6. Protecting Your Buyers in the Wasatch Back (2 credits)
  7. Be a Responsible Listing Agent (3 credits)

 

****The COST of ALL Required classes is included in your 2018 annual Board Dues.

 

Complete remaining credits from the options below (minimum of 11).

  1. Reserves and Assocation Law (2 credits)
  2. Working with Developers: A Smooth Transaction (2 credits) to be renamed Working with Developers
  3. Real Estate Safety Matters (1 credit)
  4. 1031 Tax Deferred Exchanges (2 credits)
  5. MLS Training Courses
    • Intro to Matrix and Client Portal (1 credit)
    • Transaction Desk Basics (1 credit)
    • Transaction Desk Advanced (1 credit)
    • Advanced Searches on the PCMLS (1 credit)
    • Using Realist on the PCMLS (1 credit)
  6. Resort and Second Home Property Specialist (REBAC certification course for 3 credits if taken within the last two years from application submission.)
  7. 2-day Green Designation (REBAC designation course for 6 credits)
  8. Those who received their Green Designation prior to two year time limit, yet have maintained the designation, will receive 3 credits.
  9. FHA/USDA Financing to be developed (2 credits)
  10. Five PBCR Luncheons in one year period (2 credits)

 

  1. Active Member of PCBR Committee or Association / MLS Board of Director with min attendance of 70% for the year (3 credits)
  2. Speaker Series Community Updates (Summit / Wasatch Counties, Park City Municipal, Park City School District for 1 credit per event)
  3. Community Volunteer Service  (1 credit – provide verification of service)
  4. Park City Leadership 101 (3 credits – must supply certificate of completion)
  5. Park City Leadership Program Graduate (6 credits – must supply certificate of completion)
  6. Park City Historic Museum and Tour (1 credit – must supply ticket stub)

 

 

Maintaining  your Certified Local REALTOR® Designation

 

There will be a 3 credit Annual Local Update class required once every two years in order to maintain this designation. REALTORS® who currently have the Certified Local REALTOR® designation will be required to complete the update class by 12/31/18.
