Getting involved with the Park City Board of REALTORS® is a great way to build relationships, develop leadership
skills, serve our community, and help shape the future of our profession.
Whether your interests are advocacy, community service, MLS operations, education, finance, or member
engagement, there is a place for you to get involved.
Please note: Meeting schedules and time commitments below are typical estimates and may change based on
annual priorities, Board direction, or time-sensitive issues.
Legislative / RPAC / Advocacy
For members who care about public policy, housing, private property rights, and REALTOR advocacy.
Meeting Frequency
• Weekly during the Utah Legislative Session
• Quarterly or as needed outside the session
• Additional calls may be scheduled when urgent issues arise
Time Commitment: Moderate to higher during the legislative session, with a lighter commitment throughout the
rest of the year.
Member Expectations
• Review legislative and policy updates before meetings
• Help identify local impacts for REALTORS , consumers, and property owners
• Support RPAC awareness and advocacy participation
• Bring member perspectives to discussions while keeping the focus on issues affecting the profession and
community.
Best Fit
• Members interested in housing policy, local government, RPAC, and industry advocacy
• Members who can remain engaged during the legislative session
Why It Matters: This committee helps strengthen the local REALTOR voice on issues affecting real estate,
property ownership, and the Park City community.
YPN / Community Engagement
For members who want to build connections, develop leadership skills, serve the community, and bring energy to the
association.

Philanthropic Foundation
For members who want to guide charitable giving and strengthen PCBR’s impact throughout the community.
Meeting Frequency
• Quarterly meetings
• Additional meetings as needed for grants, scholarships, fundraising, or major initiatives
• Seasonal event support as needed
Time Commitment: Light to moderate, with increased involvement around major projects.
Member Expectations
• Review charitable giving opportunities and community needs
• Help guide scholarships, grants, fundraising, and outreach
• Promote REALTOR community involvement
• Participate thoughtfully in decisions about where resources can make the greatest impact

MLS Committee
For subscribers who want to improve MLS rules, tools, subscriber experience, and marketplace cooperation.
Meeting Frequency
• Monthly meetings
• Additional review as needed for policy changes or urgent MLS issues
• Occasional review of materials between meetings
Time Commitment: Moderate and consistent.
Member Expectations
• Review MLS rules, policies, compliance trends, and subscriber concerns
• Bring practical feedback based on day-to-day MLS use
• Make recommendations to MLS leadership

Finance Committee

• Occasional review of financial materials between meetings
Time Commitment: Moderate, with additional involvement during budget season.
Member Expectations
• Review financial statements, budgets, reserves, and major financial decisions
• Provide guidance on fiscal responsibility and long-term sustainability
• Ask thoughtful questions about risk, priorities, and resource allocation
• Maintain confidentiality when reviewing sensitive financial information

MLS Board
For leaders ready to provide governance and strategic direction for Park City MLS.
Meeting Frequency
• Monthly Board meetings
• Preparation and review of materials before each meeting
• Additional meetings for strategic or time-sensitive decisions when needed
Time Commitment: High and consistent.
Member Expectations
• Provide fiduciary and strategic oversight for the MLS
• Review policies, contracts, budgets, risks, and subscriber needs
• Make decisions in the best interest of the MLS as a whole
• Come prepared, remain engaged, and respect governance responsibilities
Best Fit
• Experienced MLS participants and industry leaders who can think strategically
• Members willing to make decisions that may be complex, nuanced, or occasionally unpopular
Why It Matters: Strong MLS governance protects cooperation, data integrity, and long-term value for subscribers.
Task Forces & Advisory Groups
PCBR and Park City MLS also use short-term task forces and advisory groups to address specific projects, emerging
needs, and member feedback. These groups are generally more flexible than standing committees and may meet
only during active project periods.
Stats
Meeting Frequency: Monthly or as needed
Review market data, trends, reporting needs, and opportunities to make statistics more useful for members and the
public.
Education
Meeting Frequency: Monthly or as needed
Help identify timely topics, speakers, formats, and education gaps based on member and market needs.
MLS PAG
Meeting Frequency: Quarterly or as needed
Provide practical subscriber feedback to MLS leadership on emerging issues, pain points, and opportunities.
Turkey Drive
Meeting Frequency: Seasonal, September-November
Support planning, fundraising, promotion, logistics, and member participation for the annual community drive.
General Expectations for Task Forces & Advisory Groups
• Participate during the active project or meeting cycle
• Offer practical feedback and help move projects forward
• Support communication, promotion, or event execution when appropriate
• Understand that some task forces may conclude once their project is complete
Best Fit: Members who want to contribute to a specific area or project but may prefer a shorter-term or more
focused commitment than a standing committee.
